I set the default printer in Control Panel -> Devices and Printers to the mono laser and it works fine. I have a Dell notebook with Win 8.1 and this computer has been set up to access both of the shared printers on the home network. I have 2 printers (one colour laser and one mono laser) with USB connection to a Dell desktop computer running Win 7. Printer sharing as been activated for the printers on my home network.
